For the first time since the Portable People Meter technology was instituted in 2010, country legend KNIX is the most popular radio station in metro Phoenix, according to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings. Rival “Camel Country” also showed a strong gain, climbing up to #6.
Other big movers include “Trending Radio” (#7), and adults hits “The Mountain,” which entered the top 10 for the first time since its creation last January as Clear Channel’s bid to capture listeners from the defunct “The Peak.”
Despite growing their audience share, “Mix” and KOOL dropped to #3 and #4 respectively. Falling out of the top 10 were talker KTAR and rhythmic top 40 KZON “Live.”
