“Tearing Me Up” by Canadian duo Bob Moses moves into the top spot this week on the Rock n Roll for Grownups chart. The song first came out more than a year ago, but was recently re-released to Triple A and Alternative radio stations.
Biggest jumper this week (#24 to #6) is “Hot Thoughts” by Spoon. Also entering the top 10: “Back Against The Wall” (#7) by Son Volt, and “In A Black Out” (#10) by Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam.
Rostam is a former member of Vampire Weekend. That band’s current drummer, Chris Tomson, has a side project called Dams of the West, which debuts this weeks with “Tell The Truth” (#50). Of special note to Arizonans: the song’s opening line mentions the London Bridge and Havasu City.
Also new this week are the latest from three consistent hit makers:
- Imagine Dragons with “Believer” (#44);
- Cold War Kids with “Love Is Mystical” (#46);
- Kings of Leon with “Reverend” (#48), the follow-up their #1 hit “Waste A Moment“,” which came in at #5 on the Top 100 of 2016.
