Hot Thoughts” by Spoon jumps from #6 to #1 on this week’s Rock n Roll for Grownups chart.

Leaping to #10 from #21 is “I Give You Power” by Arcade Fire featuring Mavis Staples. It’s a catchy rhythm track with a simple political message that was released on Inauguration Day. Two other social commentaries by veteran acts are among the debuts this week: “Where’s The Revolution” (#37) by Depeche Mode and “Easy Target” (#48) by John Mellencamp.

Anchoring the chart at #50 is “Restart” by BNQT (pronounced “banquet”). The group is the brainchild of Eric Pulido of the band Midlake, who recruited Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses, Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand, Fran Healy of Travis, and Jason Lytle of Grandaddy for a side project. On their new debut album, each of the five wrote and sing two songs each.
