After a three-year absence from the Rock n Roll for Grownups chart, John Mayer is back at #1 with “Love On The Weekend.”
Moving into the top 10 this week: “On Hold” (#9) by London alt-electronic group the xx, and “I’ll Be Around” (#10) by California “surf goth” band the Growlers.
Biggest climber this week, zooming from #50 to #27, is “Tearing Me Up” by Canadian electronic-jazz-rock duo Bob Moses. The song has been around for more than a year, but was recently re-released to alternative and adult alternative radio.
Among the debuts: Cage The Elephant with “Cold Cold Cold” (#45), the third single from their Dan Auerbach-produced album Tell Me I’m Pretty Now; and Hurray for the Riff Raff (aka Alynda Lee Segarra) with the social commentary “Rican Beach” (#47).
