Note to wife:
Donald Trump has been successful because (or in spite of) his penchant for saying whatever comes to mind – no matter how damaging it might be to his candidacy. But as the campaign moves on, he needs to broaden his base beyond the early true believers.
So now Trump has been convinced to hire “professional” campaign handlers in an apparent effort to reign in his offending behavior. Yet, if he tones it down too much, he’ll risk alienating some of his hard-core supporters.
