“K-E-Z” continues to sit atop the ratings like a high pressure system over the Valley, smothering everything else. Despite losing more than half its audience share from the “Holiday” ratings period, “K-E-Z” still had enough clout to remain #1 with its usual adult contemporary format after ending its spree of holiday tunes. That inflated Christmas audience was reallocated to other stations but most held steady in the rankings.
The only real action in the top 10 was the sharp upward movement of “Kiss FM” (to #6) and “Arizona Sports” (to #10). This marks the first time since shifting to the FM band in January 2014 that KMVP has broken into the golden circle.
Country KNIX dropped out of the top 10 to a #11 tie with rival KMLE (“Camel Country”). NPR/jazz outlet KJZZ sharply gained audience share and moved up from #23 to #17.
