Ratings: Christmas cheer propels ‘K-E-Z’ to the top

| RADIO |

Ho, ho ho! “K-E-Z” unleashed its annual switch to holiday music and, as expected, landed at #1 in the latest Nielsen Audio radio ratings for metro Phoenix — virtually doubling its audience share from last time.

As a result, most of the other stations in the top 10 lost listeners. The big exception: public radio “K-Jazz,” which zoomed from a #13 tie to #7. “Live” also increased audience share and moved up to tie at #8. “Alt” and “Kiss FM” tumbled out of the top 10.

Below the top 10, “La Campesina” (KNAI) showed a sharp increase in audience share and tied rival “Que Buena” (KHOT) at #14.  “Radio Tricolor” (KLNZ) followed right behind, splitting the regional Mexican audience into essentially three equal parts.

The top 10 stations in Phoenix from November 9 to December 6.

These results represent radio listeners age 6 and older during an average quarter hour from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
