“K-E-Z” and KSLX continue to be the most popular radio stations in metro Phoenix, according to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings. Both increased their audience share, as did KOOL, which moved up to #3, pushing both KUPD and “Mix” down a notch.
The big stories are below the top five. “Camel Country” (#6) and rival KNIX (#7) both were up sharply in audience share. Meanwhile, talker KFYI tumbled from #9 to #15 to its lowest showing in two years. The drop was so severe that it could be a sampling fluke; next month will tell whether the poor performance is a hiccup or a trend. In contrast, competitor talker KTAR moved up #9.
“Live” dropped sharply to land at #10, and “The Mountain” fell from a #7 tie to #11.
