K-E-Z” lost more than half its audience share in the latest Nielsen Audio ratings, but that wasn’t enough to dethrone the station from the top spot in metro Phoenix. This ratings period, which covered January 1-28, came after 99.9 FM returned to its usual adult contemporary format following seven weeks of the all-holiday music juggernaut.

With Santa Claus no longer in town, every other station in the top 10 except “Mix”  increased its audience share, even though the rankings remained fairly stable. The biggest gainer was KUPD (up a full ratings point), followed by “Camel Country,” KOOL, KNIX and “Kiss FM.” Dropping out of the top 10 from the “Holiday” book was adult hits “The Mountain” (KYOT).
