Once again, “K-E-Z” tops the list of metro Phoenix’s most popular radio stations, according to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings. And once again, the station showed a healthy gain in listenership.
In fact, none of the top 10 stations lost audience share; seven experienced gains while KFYI, KUPD and KSLX held steady. That means the top stations are becoming more popular, at the expense of the rest of the field. And for the third consecutive ratings period, the 10 most popular stations are the same, although the order is reshuffled slightly.
#2 KOOL continued to gain listeners overall, despite the departure of longtime afternoon host Steve Goddard. “Mix” and “Kiss FM,” which were tied last time at #5, are now locked at #4.
The biggest changes within the top 10 involved the two country giants, which swapped leads again. KNIX jumped to #6, while “Camel Country” fell to #9.
