Not only does “K-E-Z” continue to dominate the metro Phoenix radio market, but the adult contemporary station strongly increased its lead during the most recent Nielsen Audio ratings — all without the benefit of its annual holiday music steamroller.
The rest of the top stations remained fairly stable with the exception of classic hits KOOL, which lost market share at a pace not seen since Santa was in town, falling from #2 to #5. Also taking a substantial hit was mainstream top 40 “Kiss FM,” although its position in the rankings remain unchanged.
Moving into the top 10 for the first time in years is “Power 98.3 & 101.9.” The rhythmic top 40 station jumped over the rivals KNIX and “Camel Country,” which tied at #11.
