Ratings: KSLX still #1 but ‘K-E-Z’ rebounding

| RADIO |

Classic rock KSLX lost some its dominance but remains the most popular station in metro Phoenix for the six straight time, according to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings. But look out — former champ ‘K-E-Z‘ is starting to build momentum as we head toward its annual switch over to all-Christmas music, which usually obliterates everyone else. The adult contemporary station moved into the runner-up spot while active rock KUPD slipped to #3.

The ratings race is tightening up, with a rare pair of three-way ties in the top 10: “Mix,” “The Mountain” and “Kiss FM” get knotted up at #4, while tying at #8 are “Alt,” KTAR and a resurgent KNIX, which moved back into the magic circle. Meanwhile, KAZL (“Live“) slipped to #11.

Arizona SportsKMVP produced a strong gain in audience share and moved up three spots to #14.
