Note to wife:
A team of 110 educators worked more than a year to update the science standards for Arizona students from kindergarten through high school. The draft was then submitted to the state Department of Education, which is led by controversial superintendent Diane Douglas.
Her department made many edits, including striking the word “evolution” throughout the document or adding “theory of” evolution.
When people like Douglas disregard scientific facts that conflict with their political or religious beliefs, it’s fun (and scary) to speculate about potential revisions to come.
