U2 ascends to the top of the Rock n Roll for Grownups chart with “You’re The Best Thing About Me.”
Entering the top 10 is Oklahoma retro rocker J.D. McPherson with “Lucky Penny” (#10).
Three debuts this week:
- “Spent The Day In Bed” (#42), a social commentary by veteran modern rock singer Morrissey, his first hit in ages;
- “If All I Was Was Black” (#48), a surprisingly smooth slice of pop from veteran soul singer Mavis Staples, co-written and produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy;
- “Thin Red Lines” (#50) by Cousteau X, the rebooted version of the turn-of-the-century British band Cousteau.
